Winter Sun Dance Holidays at Sunset Beach Club

Sunset Beach Club Hotel is delighted to confirm that Chris & Pete Bradley will host their 6^th Winter Sun Dance Holiday in January 2024. Sunset Beach Club boasts an idyllic seafront location in the popular holiday destination of Benalmádena Costa, just 15 minutes from Málaga airport. Accommodation is in apartment style rooms, all with kitchenette, terrace and free wi-fi.

So, now more about the January Dance Holiday...

The dance events take place in the hotel's Moonlight Theatre Bar from 13^th January to 18^th January 2024, inclusive. To book a 7 night stay and not miss out on any of the dancing, please book from 12^th-19^th January or from 13^th-20^th January 2024. Extra nights can also be booked before or at the end of the event, if desired. See below for further details.

The dance programme includes: 5 Evening Dance Sessions and 2 Morning Tuition Sessions.

5 Evening Dance sessions

The Evening Dance Programs will begin at 20:30h and finish at 23:00h.

They will include a mixture of Freestyle (i.e. dance your own choreography), Modern Ballroom & Latin American dancing, and Popular & Evergreen Sequence dances. We may also include a few popular Line Dances.
(Note: there will be no Tuition during the Evening Dance Program).

2 Morning Tuition Sessions per week

The Morning Tuition Sessions will take place from 10:30h to approx. 12:00h, and will be structured as 30 to 45 minute lessons, for example: • Improvers Ballroom &/or Latin American • Improvers Popular &/or Evergreen Sequence.

Who should book a Benalmádena Dance Holiday?

Ballroom, Latin American, Popular Sequence and 50/50 dancers; from competent novices to accomplished dancers. The evening dances and daytime classes provide a great way to practice and improve your dance techniques, as well as learn new Popular Sequence dances ... whist having a holiday at the same time!

Please note that this holiday is not suitable for absolute beginners and non-dancers.

Ballroom or Latin Dancing?

Both Ballroom and Latin dances are included in the programme. Ballroom enthusiasts can practice their Quickstep, Waltz, Foxtrot and Tango, or if you are looking to work on your Latin style, there is also Jive, Cha Cha & Rumba!  

Popular and Evergreen Sequence and 50/50 dancing as well as Freestyle dancing are included.

What about the weather in January in Benalmadena?

Average daily maximum temperature for January is 18ºC, and sunshine and clear skies prevail, with statistically only 5-7 rainy days during the whole month.  If you are visiting from UK, Ireland or central Europe, the weather will almost certainly be considerably kinder here than at home!

How much does the Benalmadena Dance Holiday Cost?

You can choose from several room types, but here are some sample prices per person, based on Double Occupancy in a standard 1 bedroom Exterior apartment.

Minimum stay is 7 nights.  Extra nights are possible, and include dance evenings and morning sessions during your whole stay, when booked under the Promo Code. Please note online bookings will be available from July 2023.

• Accommodation (double occupancy) according to chose room type – 1 bedroom Exterior apartment (mountain or sea views), 1 bedroom Prime apartment (Sea views) of Deluxe Junior Suite (open plan room with sea & pool views).
• Optional Breakfast supplement 12€ pppn (includes buffet breakfast)
• Optional Half Board supplement 27€ pppn (includes buffet breakfast & evening meal)

*Prices do not include flights, transfers and meals

Which Room Type Should you choose?

• 1 bedroom Mountain or Sea View apartments include everything you need for a great stay! Twin or double bedroom, lounge/dining area, bath with overhead shower, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, and balcony.
• 1 bedroom Prime Sea View apartments are similar to the Sea View ones, but have a renovated bathroom with walk-in shower, large flatscreen TV, folding dining table (to give more lounge space) and best sea views.
• Deluxe Junior Suites are open-plan in style with some luxury extras. They also have renovated bathroom with walk-in shower, large flatscreen TV and best sea views.

How can I book?

Bookings should be made online at www.sunsetbeachclub.com.
Enter your dates (during January 2024) in the availability search box and enter Promo Code DANCEJAN24. 

Make sure to select number of adults as 2, and remember that the minimum stay is 7 nights.  Dance events take place between 13^th and 18^th January 2024 inclusive so make sure to book 12^th-19^th or 13^th-20^th January. You can book extra nights at the end* of the dance programme, if you wish to extend your holiday.

*If you book extra nights the week before the dance programme, i.e. nights between 6^th-11^th January, you will automatically be charged for dance events on those nights. HOWEVER, there is very limited availability that week. Please contact i.moreno@sunsetbeachclub.com to check. If there is no space or if you do not wish to join the dancing on the nights that fall between 6^th-11^th January, we will arrange for the dance supplement to be deducted from the corresponding dates.

How do I pay for my Dance Holiday?

When booking online, credit card details are required as guarantee only.  No deposit is required, as payment is in full on arrival. Cancellations are possible without charge up to 48 hours prior to arrival. For late cancellations or no-shows, a first night would be charged.

Please note that in the unlikely event of unforeseen circumstances making it impossible for Chris & Pete Bradley to host this event, Sunset Beach Club will endeavour to source replacement dance teachers and would inform customers of any such changes. In all cases, guests have the right to cancel free of charge up to 48 hours prior to arrival, or can contact the hotel directly if they wish to change their dance holiday booking to a stay-only booking.

Travel and Transfers

You will need to book your own return flights to Málaga airport. Taxi transfer from the airport to the hotel takes 15-20 minutes and costs approx. 35€. If you wish to book a group transfer, please contact the hotel directly.
