Last week, I spent a pleasant afternoon chatting to Michael and Breda Quinn, loyal guests who have been coming to Sunset Beach Club for over 20 years! Our hotel becomes their home at least 3 times a year (March, June & October) when they grab the Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Málaga and head to Sunset to enjoy a relaxing sunny break at their favourite hotel.
I like to meet guests and hear about their experiences at our hotel; it’s these conversations that provide extremely valuable feedback that helps us in our efforts to continually improve our customer experience.
After spending a few minutes enjoying the jaw-dropping views from their apartment (see photo below) I asked Michael and Breda a simple question:
“What do you like most about Sunset Beach Club?”
In summarised bullet form, here’s what they answered (not necessarily in order of importance):
- The location of the hotel is second to none – practically over-looking the sea, with beaches on either side, it’s absolutely perfect!
- The apartments are a nice size and are always spotless.
- The staff are so friendly and helpful, they always go out of their way to help, nothing is too much. We always feel at home when we come.
- The security; we like to feel safe when we travel abroad. The security within the hotel is fantastic and the surrounding areas also make us feel at ease.
- We don’t have to leave the hotel if we don’t want to; the excellent facilities provide us with all we need such as a supermarket, restaurants and entertainment.

That’s fantastic news Mick! When are you coming over? There have definitely been a lot of changes here over the past 25 years but I am sure you’ll find all of them positive. Probably one of the biggest changes is the new promenade in front of the hotel..its perfect for a leisurely stroll! From the old photos of the hotel, it looks as though the beach to the left of the hotel has always been there. Now you can choose between beaches on either side of the hotel (I recommend the one near our Luna Beach Club 😉

MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN COMING TO SUNSETBEACH CLUB SINCE IT OPENED IN 1986 ! WE ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO OUR VISITS. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY, THE ROOMS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN AND THE FACILITIES GREAT. WE ENJOY EATING IN THE TERRACE BAR AND ALSO INSIDE IN THE OASIS RESTURANT. IT IS A VERY “EASY HOLIDAY” SINCE WE KNOW WE CAN EAT IN THE HOTEL ESPECIALLY ON OUR FIRST EVENING,STOCK OUR CUPBOARD FROM THE WELL STOCKED SUPERMARKET-ON-SITE AND IN GENERAL JUST RELAX FROM THE MOMENT WE CHECK IN. WE ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA NOW AND ENJOY VISITING PLACES WE HAVE BEEN TO BEFORE BUT WE MAKE SURE WE INCLUDE A NEW RESTURANT OR A PLACE WE HAVENT BEEN TO BEFORE-EVERY VISIT. OVER THE YEAR WE MEET UP WITH FRIENDS AT SUNSET AND SOME OF THEM HAVE BEEN COMING THE SAME LENGTH OF TIME AS OURSELVES AND WE HAVE WATCHED THEIR CHILDREN GROWING UP ETC. IT HAS BECOME A “HOME FROM HOME” LONG MAY IT CONTINUE. WE ARE GOING THIS YEAR IN MARCH AND AGAIN IN JUNE. THIS PLACE MUST HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL TO MAKE US WANT TO RETURN TIME AND AGAIN.
