This weekend sees the start of the acclaimed Luna Mora Festival in the beautiful white village of Guaro. This unique event is your opportunity to witness and experience the magic of ‘Andalusi’ music and culture.
The Festival takes place on the 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th of September 2013 and is sure to be a great success with visitors coming from all over Spain to experience its rich blend of true Andalusian culture and tradition.
Two of the team from Sunset Beach Club visited the Luna Mora Festival last year and took some great photos which will give you a great idea of what to expect if you choose to venture into the hills and take part in the festivities; you can see the photos HERE.
During the festival, the streets of Guaro come to life with dancers, musicians and artists allowing visitor to privilege of experiencing true ‘Andalusi’ culture dating back almost 5 centuries. However, the highlight of the festival is the 25,000 candles which light up the town at dusk. From 6pm, each and every one of these candles – strategically located throughout the streets of the town – is lit to create the most amazing spectacle… well worth the visit just to see the 25,000 candles glowing in the dark!
