Are you looking for some good restaurant recommendations for your next visit to Benalmadena?
Two years ago we asked our Facebook Fans to recommend their favourite restaurant in Benalmadena and then put all these recommendations together into what has become one of the most popular posts to date on this blog). It’s also proved a valuable resource for many of our guests as well as visitors staying at other hotels in the Benalmádena area.
Due to the popularity of this post we decided to put together a more updated version (2014). We asked our Facebook fans the same question “What’s your favourite restaurant in Benalmadena?” and came up with the list you’ll find below.
It’s interesting to see that there are restaurants on the new list which were also featured in the original post two years ago; however, we also have some new entries, including our very own Luna Beach Club which actually got the most mentions! J (We promise no one was bribed!)
The list below is split into two: The first part is a list of the restaurants which got the most mentions (most popular first) and the second part is a list of restaurants that were recommended at least once by our Facebook Fans.
Below we’ve also embedded the actual Facebook post so that you can see all the recommendations and add your own if you wish. You can also interact with the other fans and ask them specific questions about their recommendations.
Most popular restaurants
#1: Luna Beach Club – Our very own beach club got the most mentions! Good service, delicious food and an idyllic setting in quiet corner of Torrevigía beach undoubtedly contribute to its popularity. The only downside is that it’s only open in the high season (May to October).
#2: Los Remos-Lazaro – This restaurant is a newcomer to our list and deservedly so as it offers great sea food and other Spanish dishes. An added bonus for Sunset Beach Club guests is that it’s located on the beach right next to the hotel!
#3: Wok Buffet in the Marina – Located in Benalmadena Marina, the Wok buffet restaurant gets top marks once again and makes it onto our top 10 list for the second time! If you like Chinese food and lots of it, this is a must try. Choose what you want and eat as much as you like for under 15€!
#4: The Peacock – Another new addition to the list, the Peacock offers delicious home cooked food, great prices and a fantastic Scottish/Spanish welcome!
The following restaurants were all tied at two recommendations each:
#5: Amigos Mexican & Indian Restaurant – There is an ‘Amigos’ in the Marina too, but the one mentioned by our Facebook fans is located just across the road from Sunset Beach Club. Good food, especially if you like spicy, and great service.
#6: Milan – The most popular restaurant on our previous list, Milan didn’t get as many votes this time but still gets the thumbs up from some of our guests. A delicious choice of Indian or Italian cuisine awaits all who choose to eat here!
#7: Sabatini – Located near the Bil-Bil Castle (just 5 minutes walk from Sunset Beach Club) Sabatini’s is a great choice for Italian cuisine.
#8: Oasis Restaurant & Terrace – Our very own restaurant here at Sunset Beach Club. Fantastic selection of a la carte international cuisine and great value early bird set menus from just 12€!
#9: Rodeo Steak House – The name says it all! If you’re looking for a good steak, this restaurant is a good choice. Located approximately 20 minutes walk from the hotel (near the windmill roundabout).
#10: La Fuente – Away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip, La Fuente offers gorgeous food exquisitely prepared by their Irish chef. Bursting with Spanish charm this restaurant is located in Benalmadena Pueblo so you’ll need to grab the bus or a taxi to get there.
#11: The Lounge at Pinoccios: According to one of our guests, they offer fabulous tapas and all the food is cooked freshly to order. They have a great sunny terrace overlooking the sea and are located about half way between Sunset Beach Club and the Marina (15 minute walk).

#12: Cristal – This is a very popular restaurant located just around the corner from the hotel. The food is delicious and they offer a great value 3 course set menu.
#13: Bar 76 – Very popular restaurant which apparently serves a delicious chicken curry! They also have great value half portions for kids.
#14: Los Mellizos (Arroyo de la Miel) – If you like fish, then this is the place to go. Popular amongst the locals, you can enjoy the daily set menu at lunch time of just order a selection of the freshest fish and sea food.
#15: Jack’s American Grill – Amazing views over the Marina and great American style meals. A popular choice for families with kids.
#16: Angus Steak House – If you’re in the Marina and fancy a good steak, a visit to Angus Steak House wont disappoint.
#17: Orient Palace – Another great value option if you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant. Good food, great service and it’s only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
#18: The Mint Leaf – Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in Benalmádena! Located near the hotel, it’s a popular choice if you don’t fancy walking too far.
#19: Metro – Another great choice in the Marina, Metro has a wonderful terrace where you can sit and enjoy the amazing views whilst digging into your favourite pasta dish.
#20: The Carvery – Located in the Montemar area of Benalmádena, the Carvery offer tasty food made with the freshest ingredients… the service is pretty impressive too J
#21: La Laguna – Traditional Spanish Cuisine in a gorgeous setting overlooking the Marina… definitely one to try next time you’re here.
