A visit to this wonderful part of Spain offers travellers a fabulous selection of towns, attractions and other unique locations to explore. The easiest and most economical way to get to all these amazing places is by using the extensive bus network which communicates Benalmadena and its three main districts (Benalmádena Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Costa) with the Coast’s main cities and towns.

To read all about this useful Travel Card please read this blog post which explains everything you need to know. These cards can be bought in local tobacconists (the closest is near the Bil-Bil Castle, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel) or at specific sales points for the local transport company. Here are some of the benefits of purchasing a travel card:
- It’s easy to use. You just have to swipe it past the machine which then emits your ticket. This will show the price of the journey, the remaining balance on the card (you need to charge it when you purchase it) and the time limit for changing buses.
- Personalisation of the travel card depending on the number of trips you plan to make (0, 1, 2 or 3 zones).
- An important discount on the price of a regular ticket (can be up to 40%), depending on the configuration at the time of purchase.
- It can be used by up to 15 people at a time.

It depends on the bus company. As there are various, each one has it’s own policy and you have to ask when getting on the bus.
I am staying at the Bali Hotel Av. de la Telefonica, Benalmadema. Which bus do I get to Arroya de la Miel and where is the nearest bus stop to the hotel please.
Hi Lynn, the nº123 bus should take you to Arroyo de la Miel. I’m afraid I’m not sure where the actual stop is. Best to ask at reception.
Is there bus service from Malaga Airport to Benalmaddema ?
I’m afraid there isn’t. You can take the train or a taxi.
