The summer season is almost upon us and we’ve been busy putting the finishing touches to our fun-packed activities and entertainment programme which officially started on the 1st June.
If you’ve got kids and are planning on spending your summer holidays with us, you’re in for a ‘funtastic’ time! Our animation team is working overtime rehearsing for their latest show which this year will be A Tribute to Aladdin. Due to the success of last years Tribute to Frozen, we’ll also be repeating this wonderful show every week throughout this summer. So that’s two fab shows for you to look forward to! 🙂
Last year we welcomed two new additions to the Sunset Beach Club family, our mascots Dizzy the Dolphin and Pablo de Pirate (see photo below) and this year they’ll be joined by another mascot, a female pirate who’s name is yet to be decided (we’re counting on our Facebook Fans to help us choose her name). You’ll see them all wondering around the pool area and taking part in many of the activities so don’t forget to get your photo taken with them. 🙂
Our cinema/video games room, kitted out with the latest in stereo and audiovisual equipment for watching films as well as Wii and Xbox games consoles, will be fully operational over the summer. Showing some of the latest kiddies films, this area is located just off the Moonlight Theatre and helps keep the younger kids entertained whilst Mum and Dad watch the show in the Moonlight. 🙂 You can check our Events Calendar for details of what’s showing at the cinema.
Last year we also made a couple of changes to our kids animation programme by lowering the minimum age to 4 years and introducing a new Junior’s Club for 11 to 14 year olds featuring lots of new activities aimed at this age group. This meant we offered 4 different activity programmes for 4 different age groups…
- Mini Club for 4 to 10 year olds
- Junior’s Club for 11 to 14 year olds
- Teenager’s Club for 15 to 18 year olds
- Activities for adults (18+)
This new age split into four different groups proved to be a great success and we’re happy to report that we’ll continue with these groups this summer. 🙂
Kids who take part in the popular ‘Fun and Games with Dizzy and Pablo’, a day long fun packed activity for kids aged 4 to 10 are in for a treat as we have a new water slide for the afternoon pool games.
Another of the highlights this year will be the themed mini discos. Every week the little ones will have a choice of seeing and meeting their favourite characters in the Star Wars disco or the Frozen disco (it’s actually Ana’s Birthday!).
So there you have it, our superb activities programme for this summer (2016)… are you going to come and join in the fun?
Just looking at your summer programme for kids
Was thinking of booking the junior suite which
Looks fabulous. Is there a charge on the kids
Activities or are they all included in price of staying.
Hi Paul,
Most of the kids activities are free, however for our ‘Fun and Games with Dizzy and Pablo’ days there is a charge of 15€ per child which includes lunch.

Hi Justin, booked in to your hotel for twelve nights in August with two teenagers. I have made my booking based on the reviews received on trip advisor. However, i am very alarmed by the number of recent reviews complaining about the level of noise very late at night. I am no killjoy by any stretch of imagination but there is very evidently a problem at the hotel which is of enough concern to cause a flurry of complaints on that website. It appears to me that either you dont take it seriously or you are unable to deal with the problem. Please allay my fears.
Hotel is amazing John and regarding noise not sure about that as hotel is surrounded by a quiet beach with a lounge bar and on other side a road with only a Burger King across the road.
Never had any problems with noise at all and before making a very blunt message should maybe try it first.
Dear John, As you quite rightly point out, we have had a few noise issues lately; however, most of these relate to groups of stags and hens making noise late at night. May is a popular month for these groups but you’ll find that in August we get very few of these groups staying with us. In an attempt to put a stop to anti-social behaviour at night, we’ve increased security cover at night time to ensure noise is kept to a minimum. I hope this allays your fears and I look forward to welcoming you in August.
regards, Justin
Thanks for your kind comments Steve 🙂
Fantastic holiday! The entertainment team were beyond brilliant. Happy and enthusiastic staff from the front desk, to supermarket to restaurant and cleaning staff. We had a brilliant holiday and the first thing I done when I got home was to look into going back next year! This hotel has everything!! 10/10!
Thank you so much for the lovely comments Sarah, we’re delighted you enjoyed your holiday with us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
