The Benalmádena City Council has just presented ‘Verano en Benalmádena 2020) (Summer in Benalmádena 2020)’, a series of cultural events for July and August that Benalmadena residents and all visitors can enjoy.
This program aims to support the local cultural industry, betting on the talent of local artists who, like many, have been going through a hard time since the state of alarm was declared.
In total, we can enjoy 26 events spread between July and August. The program promises a wide and varied cultural proposal including flamenco, singer-songwriters, rock, classical music, jazz, soul / funk, summer cinema, magic and humour.
All events will be held in the Municipal Auditorium of La Paloma in Arroyo de la Miel and the Los Nadales fairground in Benalmádena Pueblo, guaranteeing capacity control and thus complying with the established security measures. The only exception will be the performances of Querencia, Trenzao and Mayka on the 16th July, to be held in the area adjacent to the Harbor Master’s Office in the Marina to celebrate the Virgen del Carmen festivities.
This Friday, 3rd July sees the start of this program that will offer hours of fun during the summer. If you go to the Los Nadales fairground in Benalmádena Pueblo at 10:00 p.m., you’ll enjoy a fabulous flamenco show by Luisa Chicano & Friends. Keep in mind that to respect the social distancing measures and to prevent the spread of Covid-19, only a maximum of 300 spectators will be able to access the venue.
At 10:00 pm, on Tuesday 7th July, you can enjoy a flamenco recital by Bonela Jr. and Andrés Cansino at the Paloma Park Municipal Auditorium.
AT 9:30pm on the 23rd July, the Los Nadales fairground will host a ‘Night of Rock’ with the performance of local bands Avería, Not Yet, Ten Shots & KO and Milk Wookie.
Another highlight of ‘Summer in Benalmádena 2020’ will be the first Benalmádena Solidaria Festival of Humor and Magic. This is a charity event that will take place at 8:30 p.m. on 22nd August at the La Paloma Municipal Auditorium and on 23rd August at the Los Nadales fairground in Benalmádena Pueblo.
If you plan to attend any of these events, we remind you of the importance and obligation of wearing a mask for your safety and that of other attendees. As entrance is free for all these events until full capacity is reached, we encourage you to arrive at each event 30 minutes before it’s due to start so that you can be seated properly and comply with health and safety measures.
