Nao Victoria visits Benalmadena and Malaga

Do you want to visit a replica of the first sailing ship to sail around the world?

Well, you’re in luck because this December, the Nao Victoria, a replica of the first ship to circumnavigate the world, will visit Benalmadena and Malaga.

From December 4 to 7, 2024 it will be docked in Puerto Marina, Benalmádena and from December 12, 2024 to January 12, 2025 you can visit it in the Muelle Uno area of the Port of Malaga.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board the ship that set sail from Seville in 1519 with Magellan in command. The latter died during the voyage and was replaced as captain by Juan Sebastián Elcano, who was in charge of completing this first circumnavigation of the world, arriving in Seville on September 8, 1522.

You will have the opportunity to climb aboard this authentic masterpiece that was built in 1991 for Expo 92 in Seville. The visit consists of a self-guided tour of the 3 decks of the ship, allowing you to get to know all the details of this historic vessel up close. You will also learn all about life on board from the sailors who crew the Nao and who live as they did 500 years ago.

The Nao Victoria can be visited from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the days it is in port, both in Benalmádena and in Malaga.
