Benalmadena Hosts the 7th Film Tapas Route

Tomorrow sees the start of the 7th edition of Benalmadena’s Film Tapas Route. From the 27th of October to the 5th of November we’ll be able to enjoy this unique tribute to the world of film as it also coincides with the Benalmadena Film Festival (FICCAB).

Featuring short films from all over the world, this festival is the perfect occasion to introduce our mouth-watering local gastronomy through this unique medium: the Film Tapas Route.

The King’s League Comes to Malaga: An Electrifying Fusion of Football and Gaming

Prepare for an electrifying fusion of football action and your favourite Twitch streamers as Malaga gets ready to host the epic finals of the gaming extravaganza which has taken the internet (and the footballing world) by storm… The Kings and Queens Cup!

This exciting tournament recently kicked off, and the location for its grand finals has recently been unveiled. Numerous cities, including Barcelona and Madrid, were considered, but the spotlight is now on Málaga. The Costa del Sol’s capital city was chosen to host the finals after winning a live poll, surpassing contenders like Bilbao, Valencia, Zaragoza, La Coruña, Sevilla, Madrid, and Barcelona.

Cueva del Tesoro – One of The Only Marine Caves in the World

On our latest travels exploring the Costa del Sol, we came across a real hidden gem! It goes by many names, but the oldest one you’ll hear is “Cueva del Higuerón,” although nowadays we know it as “La Cueva del Tesoro” (The Treasure Cave).

The most incredible part? It’s one of only three caves of marine origin in the entire world! Yep, you heard that right, one in Asia, one in Central America, and the last one on the European continent is just a half-hour’s drive from Sunset Beach Club.

Benalmadena in Winter: So Much More Than a Beach Holiday

Benalmadena offers much more than a summer holiday fueled by sun, sea and sangria.

To be honest, we’re a little baffled as to why our amazing city doesn’t get busier in the Winter; But that may just be what makes it so appealing to visit in the quieter months (November, December, January and February)!

The important thing to keep in mind is that, although temperatures are considerably lower than during the summer months – and that’s not necessarily a bad thing – the sun shines practically every day. Don’t forget we’re privileged to get more than 320 days of sunshine per year here on the Costa del Sol!

Daphonbury 2023: Coast’s Top Performers Unite for a Great Cause

On Friday 22nd September the Coast’s top musicians and entertainers will be performing in the 3rd edition of the Daphonbury Festival, an amazing event to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK.

This live music festival takes place in our Moonlight Bar and has been organised by Tony Whitehouse, (many of you will know Tony as he has performed at Sunset Beach on many occasions as a key member of Diverse, and their fantastic Tributes to Take That and Westlife).
