Our neighbours in Torremolinos will be celebrating the second edition of their ‘Oktoberfest’ beer festival from Thursday 20th October to Sunday 23rd October.
The event will be held in a large thousand square metre marquee located in ‘Plaza de la Nogalera’ and will be open to the public from 12pm til late every day. Visitors will be able to sample some of the World’s best beers as this year’s festival will have a special bar serving beers from all over the world including those made from wheat and barley, black beers and other select flavours. Another highlight this year will be the ‘Jägermeister’ tap serving shots of the famous herbal liqueur at -10ºC! (more…)

The Costa del Sol is undoubtedly one of Europe’s top holiday destinations during the busier spring, summer and autumn seasons; however, what many people don’t know is that it’s also a popular resort for those looking for a winter sun break!
One of the main reasons for this popularity is the mild and sunny weather which prevails during the winter months (December, January and February).
If you’re from the UK or Ireland, it’s sometimes difficult to believe that you’re on the same continent! Our friends at Bioparc Fuengirola are celebrating the birth of the latest member of their large animal family, a baby Borneo orangutan.
This baby orangutan’s mother, Suli, is handling motherhood well (this is her first baby) and is proving to be a caring and dedicated mum. Apparently, orangutans are the primates which dedicate most time to the upbringing of their young; normally until they reach the age of seven and without having any other offspring during this time. In comparison, gorillas and chimpanzees tend to dedicate 4 or 5 years to their young’s upbringing and, sometimes, looking after several at the same time. (more…)

Since the start of 2016, tourists can take a virtual tour of many of the Costa del Sol’s most popular tourist attractions thanks to a new project by the Coast’s Tourist Board.
‘Costa del Sol 360’ (www.visitcostadelsol.com/360) allows users to ‘visit’ forty two of Malaga province’s most popular and important tourist attractions, including: Towns, monuments, marinas, views, beaches, natural parks, caves and leisure attractions. Visitors will be able to explore each of these locations using their smart phones. All they have to do is rotate their phone to see each of these tourist attractions from a unique perspective which would be impossible from the ground. (more…)

Bil-Bil Castle is one of Benalmadena’s most iconic landmarks and one of the most popular attractions for visitors who choose to spend their holidays here.
Located on the promenade just a 10-minute walk from Sunset Beach Club, this Moorish-looking building isn’t really a castle. Although it looks like it was built centuries ago, nothing could be further from the truth. We did a little investigating and came up with some interesting facts about Bil-Bil Castle which we’re pretty sure you didn’t know… we certainly didn’t! (more…)

The city of Malaga is getting ready to host, for the 4th year running, a fabulous series of summer evening concerts. This latest edition, of what has become a consolidated event in the city’s summer events calendar, will delight spectators with a series of free music concerts to be held in the Gibralfaro Castle and the Alcazaba fortress.
The Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, musical ‘ensemble’, ‘Músicos Concerto Málaga, Duo del Valle, The Insostenible Big Band, Coral Cármina Nova and Música Prima, will be performing in two of Malaga’s most iconic land marks. (more…)
