On Friday 8th April 2016 we’re delighted to be hosting, what we hope, will be the charity event of the year, our ‘Concert for the Kids’ featuring two of the Coast’s most popular entertainers: Johnny G. and Ricky Lavazza!
As two of our resident performers here at Sunset Beach Club, Johnny and Ricky have agreed to help us raise funds for our ‘Sunset Breaks’ charity initiative which we started in 2014.

Do you want to save up to 70% on your next flight to Málaga?
According to Kayak, one of the world’s most popular travel search engines, it’s possible to do. The British version of the site Kayak.co.uk recently analysed data from more than a billion – yes, one billion! – searches on their site and revealed some interesting results about the best time for brits (although we’re sure it’ll work for our Irish guests too) to book travel to the top 10 European destinations per season for 2016.
You’ll find all their results revealed on the detailed infographics we’ve linked to at the bottom of this post. However, we’re – obviously – only interested in the results for travellers flying to Málaga, which, incidentally, is just 20 minutes’ drive from Sunset Beach Club 🙂 (more…)

Fuengirola’s councillor in charge of Culture recently announced that access and visits to the city’s impressive Sohail Castle will now be free for all visitors – it used to cost 3€ for adults and 2€ for children!
Opening times are between 10:00am and 2:00pm daily from Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), plenty of time for visitors to walk around this iconic building with centuries of history behind it (see below). (more…)

The ‘greatest show on earth’ is coming to Malaga!
From the 21st to 24th January, Cirque du Soleil, arguably the best circus experience on the planet will visit Malaga with their touring production titled Varekai. This stunning show first premiered in Montréal (Canada) in April 2002 and has since travelled all over the world delighting spectators wherever they perform.
The word ‘Varekai’ actually means ‘Anywhere’ in the Romani language, the language of the eternal nomads. The show is an “acrobatic tribute to the nomadic soul” and the art of the circus tradition. (more…)

Christmas is just a week away and here in Benalmadena, we’re starting to get into the Christmas spirit. Starting tomorrow (18th December) you’ll be able to visit the traditional Christmas Market which takes place every year in Arroyo de la Miel’s ‘Pueblosol’ Square.
The market will be there until the 6th January 2016 so you’ve got a couple of weeks to stroll up there and enjoy the stalls and activities programmed over the festive period. (more…)
