Malaga Christmas Lights in Calle Larios
Málaga city centre is famous for its’ stunning Christmas lights. Hundreds of thousands of people visit the city’s Calle Larios to see the spectacular lights, and every year, we’re treated to a more impressive display!
This year is no exception with the town hall spending a whopping 573,201 Euros on the lights! This might seem like a lot but when you see the amount of people who show up at 6:30pm every day to watch the lights be switched on, you begin to understand why. Business is booming and the city has a real Christmassy feel to it. (more…)

Located at the entrance to the port, parallel to the Muelle de Heredia (next to the Ferry terminal) this impressive 70 metre-high structure offers visitors stunning 360º views of Málaga city and beyond. Apparently on a clear day, you can see up to 30 Kilometres! (more…)

The beauty of our self-catering apartments is that you always have the choice to stay in and eat lunch or dinner on the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean (if you have a sea view, if not the mountains will have to do :-)).
Yes, our Oasis Restaurant is located nearby – on the 1st floor – but sometimes you don’t feel like going to all the trouble of dressing up to eat in the restaurant; you’d rather just stay in your shorts or bikini and relax on your balcony. (more…)

This weekend – 10th & 11th October – the village of Mijas will be recreating the Napoleonic invasion of 1808, a historic event when the villagers had to defend their homes from Napoleon troops.
Mijas Town Hall has been organising this event since 2009 together with the Torrijos 1831 Cultural & Historic Association; its uniqueness has certainly increased its popularity since then!
To add a little more flavour to the events, this year, the local artisans and business associations have decided to contribute to the activities by putting on an Artisans Market offering all sorts 19th century themed goodies including: soaps, crystal and glass products, leather goods and Mexican jewellery which, in those times, were shipped to Spain from the New World.
