The Sunset Beach Club commercial team are busy packing their bags full of brochures and information for the Active Over 50’s Show which takes place at the RDS in Dublin from the 9th to 11th October 2015.
In its 17th year, the show caters for the Over 50’s market with over 250 exhibitors covering a wide range of topics and interests including: health, holidays, pastimes, gardening, genealogy, fashion, finance and food. (more…)
This weekend – from the 18th to the 20th September – the ‘Plaza de Pueblosol’ in Arroyo de la Miel hosts the first edition of the Benalmadena Western Outlet. This western-themed event includes a fashion and complements outlet, gastronomy (tapas & cocktails), artisan’s market, animation, competitions and a wide selection of activities for all the family.
If you enjoy your shopping, you won’t want to miss this fun event as it’s a great opportunity to purchase clothes and complements at rock-bottom prices. Although it’s probably the last thing you want to think about when you’re on holiday, there are times when you need to wash clothes. It’s either that or a suitcase full of dirty clothes when you head home!
We’ve always offered a laundry service but it involved leaving your clothes in the hotel laundry and was charged per kilo. This service is still available but, following suggestions from guests, we’ve decided to build a new self-service launderette. (more…)
Foodies are in for a treat this weekend as Fuengirola’s Sohail Castle hosts Andalusia’s first ever Food Truck Festival.
From the 20th to the 23rd August, this unique event promises a fabulous gastronomic experience as well as music and entertainment for all the family. These food trucks will offer around 15 different street food options, most from local establishments.
Equipped with modern kitchens and appliances it’s amazing what these chefs can rustle up in such a tight space: succulent and tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. During this weekend’s event, visitors will have the chance to sample a wide selection of food including meats, kebabs, fish, seafood, Iberian hams, sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers, home-made ice-creams, milkshakes, cocktails and lots more. Last month we wrote about the fabulous new series of concerts taking place in Mijas village and featuring some of the world’s best cover bands and singers.
After the success of the first two concerts, a night of swing and jazz with the Andy Peacock Big Band and the Bruce Springsteen Tribute Concert, the ‘Hot Summer Nights’ series of concerts is back at the start of August with three amazing nights of live music. After the success of the previous edition, the white village of Mijas will celebrate its second Luna Mora Festival. Last year, this unique event managed to attract more than 20,000 visitors and organisers are hoping to more than double that figure attracting over 45,000 people to this years festivities.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the fact that it will be celebrated over two consecutive weekends; from the 17th to 19th July and from the 31st July to 2nd August. The other notable addition this year is that all the activities and attractions will extend into the centre of town multiplying the festivals surface area by five. (more…)
