Last month we wrote about the fabulous new series of concerts taking place in Mijas village and featuring some of the world’s best cover bands and singers.
After the success of the first two concerts, a night of swing and jazz with the Andy Peacock Big Band and the Bruce Springsteen Tribute Concert, the ‘Hot Summer Nights’ series of concerts is back at the start of August with three amazing nights of live music. After the success of the previous edition, the white village of Mijas will celebrate its second Luna Mora Festival. Last year, this unique event managed to attract more than 20,000 visitors and organisers are hoping to more than double that figure attracting over 45,000 people to this years festivities.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the fact that it will be celebrated over two consecutive weekends; from the 17th to 19th July and from the 31st July to 2nd August. The other notable addition this year is that all the activities and attractions will extend into the centre of town multiplying the festivals surface area by five. (more…)

This Summer, the picturesque white village of Mijas will play host to a series of concerts featuring some of the world’s best cover bands and singers.
Under the ‘Hot Summer Nights’ banner, this series of concerts kicks of next Thursday 25th June with a fantastic Swing Night followed by Spain’s top ‘Bruce Springsteen’ tribute band in Friday 26th June.

Views from the Cathedral’s roof terrace
A trip into Málaga’s city centre is a must for all who visit the Costa del Sol and, as from last month, there’s a new star attraction which you’ll need to add to your list of places to see: The Terraces of Málaga Cathedral.
Opened to the general public last month, these new terraces are located almost fifty metres above sea level and offer visitors stunning views over the city and a great perspective of the famous Alcazaba fortress. If you don’t mind the 200 step climb, this really is a unique experience which allows you to walk over an area of the cathedral that has never been open to the public and where you’ll be able to take spectacular photos of the city. More than 20,000 people descended upon the beautiful city of Ronda this weekend to celebrate the 3rd edition of Ronda Romántica, the city’s May Fair which offers a fascinating look at its history and traditions.
During the three day festivities, locals and visitors were taken on a voyage of discovery to 19th century Spain, a time of bandits, muleteers and romantic travellers. (more…)
