Do you want to save up to 70% on your next flight to Málaga?
According to Kayak, one of the world’s most popular travel search engines, it’s possible to do. The British version of the site Kayak.co.uk recently analysed data from more than a billion – yes, one billion! – searches on their site and revealed some interesting results about the best time for brits (although we’re sure it’ll work for our Irish guests too) to book travel to the top 10 European destinations per season for 2016.
You’ll find all their results revealed on the detailed infographics we’ve linked to at the bottom of this post. However, we’re – obviously – only interested in the results for travellers flying to Málaga, which, incidentally, is just 20 minutes’ drive from Sunset Beach Club 🙂 (more…)

Fuengirola’s councillor in charge of Culture recently announced that access and visits to the city’s impressive Sohail Castle will now be free for all visitors – it used to cost 3€ for adults and 2€ for children!
Opening times are between 10:00am and 2:00pm daily from Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), plenty of time for visitors to walk around this iconic building with centuries of history behind it (see below). (more…)

Malaga Christmas Lights in Calle Larios
Málaga city centre is famous for its’ stunning Christmas lights. Hundreds of thousands of people visit the city’s Calle Larios to see the spectacular lights, and every year, we’re treated to a more impressive display!
This year is no exception with the town hall spending a whopping 573,201 Euros on the lights! This might seem like a lot but when you see the amount of people who show up at 6:30pm every day to watch the lights be switched on, you begin to understand why. Business is booming and the city has a real Christmassy feel to it. (more…)

A visit to Malaga’s city centre provides a multitude of interesting activities and attractions and, since last September, there’s a new attraction which will allow you to view the city’s beauty from a unique and privileged position: The Malaga Ferris Wheel!
Located at the entrance to the port, parallel to the Muelle de Heredia (next to the Ferry terminal) this impressive 70 metre-high structure offers visitors stunning 360º views of Málaga city and beyond. Apparently on a clear day, you can see up to 30 Kilometres! (more…)

Foodies are in for a treat this weekend as Fuengirola’s Sohail Castle hosts Andalusia’s first ever Food Truck Festival.
From the 20th to the 23rd August, this unique event promises a fabulous gastronomic experience as well as music and entertainment for all the family. These food trucks will offer around 15 different street food options, most from local establishments.
Equipped with modern kitchens and appliances it’s amazing what these chefs can rustle up in such a tight space: succulent and tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. During this weekend’s event, visitors will have the chance to sample a wide selection of food including meats, kebabs, fish, seafood, Iberian hams, sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers, home-made ice-creams, milkshakes, cocktails and lots more.
