We’re fortunate enough to have one of the first permanent (and covered) ice skating rinks in all of Andalucia. Located in the ‘Club Municipal de Hielo’ in Arroyo de la Miel, this superb facility boasts a 900 square metre ice rink.
If you’re looking for a fun activity for all the family or are visiting Benalmadena during the quieter winter months, a visit to the ice skating rink is the perfect choice for an enjoyable afternoon out.

Adults: 6.50€ (includes rental of ice skates)

Friday & Saturday
Adults: 10.50€ (ice skates NOT included)
Children (under 17): 7.50€ (rental of ice skates NOT included)
Groups of more than 10 pax: 8.65€ (ice skates included)
Sundays & Bank Holidays
Adults: 12€ (ice skates NOT included)
Children (under 17): 9€ (rental of ice skates NOT included)
Groups of more than 10 pax: 8.65€ (ice skates included)
*Prices in December, January and Easter are the same as on Fridays and Saturdays.
Opening Times
Monday to Thursday: 6:00pm to 7:45pm
Friday: 7:00pm to 9:45pm
Saturday: 12:30pm to 2:20pm and 4:00pm to 9:45pm
Sunday: 11:00am to 2:20pm and 4:00pm to 7:45pm
*Please note that if you’re planning on going ice skating, you are required to wear gloves, socks and long trousers.

Selwo Marina in Benalmádena has to be one of our favourite family attractions. Located just next to Paloma Park this is the only Dolphinarium in Andalucia and offers visitors a spectacular experience which includes dolphin exhibitions, sea lion show, exotic birds show and penguin feeding to name but a few.
As well as the regular programme and shows, Selwo Marina also offers special and unique experiences which allow you to see behind the scenes and interact with its friendly inhabitants. You can choose between the special VIP visit (includes pretty much everything), the dolphin encounter, swimming with sea lions and the VIP penguin visit.

If you have kids and are looking for a fun day out, we recommend you take a trip up to the Donkey Sanctuary (Refugio del Burrito) in Fuente de Piedra (see map below).
A short 45 minute drive from the Coast, the Donkey Sanctuary is located in a traditional Spanish Cortijo and is home to over 70 rescued donkeys. The traditional buildings and charming olive groves provide a safe haven for donkeys and mules rescued from all over Europe. (more…)
