Have you ventured into the original village of Benalmadena? In a raised position a few kilometres from the coastline, fabulous panoramic views can be enjoyed from the original “Benalmádena Village”. It is ideal for a half day visit, where you can enjoy not only stunning views, but also sample some tapas in the village restaurants. If you carry on a little further, you can take the back road to Mijas Village, to make a full day trip.

Famous for the high-life, fast cars and big yachts, Puerto Banús is located about 40 minutes from Sunset Beach Club, and there is still a good chance you will see celebrities strolling around here – although perhaps not as much as in the 80’s and 90’s. This bustling port offers a great mixture of designer shops and market stalls alongside the harbour, where you can also find some great restaurants and nightclubs which are open until dawn.

Benalmádena Port is a fabulous facility located just a few minutes from Sunset Beach Club, which hosts a wide range of activities, including boat rides, fishing trips, dolphin watching trips, a large shopping centre, evening entertainment and of course great seafood.

Have you ever seen a park filled with birds and other animal? Well on the Costa del Sol located in the heart of Benalmadena, Paloma Park offers a relaxing day out for all the family, complete with cafes and picnic areas. There is a lake in the centre of the park with a large water feature giving the area a fresh atmosphere. Also don’t be surprised if during your visit you bump into the odd chicken, rabbit or even turtle!

Selwo holds Andalucia’s only dolphinarium and ice penguinarium, with exclusive dolphin, sea lion and exotic bird shows. Best of all Selwo is just a five minute walk away from Sunset Beach Club, just before Arroyo de la Miel.

Thanks to the generous donations of Picasso’s family members, we have the wonderful opportunity to explore this interesting museum in Pablo Picasso’s birth town of Malaga. Just 20 minutes away, trips to here can be arranged from the leisure desk at Sunset Beach Club.
