Fuengirola’s Erotic Tapas Route: A “Spicy” Gastronomic Adventure

Erotic Tapas Route in Fuengirola 2023

On the 24th February 2023, our neighbouring town of Fuengirola kicks off the 13th edition of the “Ruta de la Tapa Erótica” (Erotic Tapas Route), a fun and original idea which, since the first edition, has become a reference all over Spain.

It’s been a couple of years since Fuengirola last hosted this Tapas Route and we’re looking forward to enjoying some interesting and creative tapas over the next few weeks.

Up until the 13th March, visitors to Fuengirola will be able to enjoy this traditional Spanish snack, with a slightly “spicy” touch. All establishments that take part, will prepare a sensual and fun tapa, with creativity and flair being the main ingredients. Some of the participating establishments will also be offering special ‘gluten-free’, sweet or vegetarian tapas.

Anyone who visits one of the participating restaurants or bars will be able to sample one of these “erotic” tapas and a cool beer (or glass of wine) for a – very reasonable – €3.50. If you choose one of the sweet dessert tapas available in some establishments,  you can choose to accompany it with a coffee, tea or sweet wine.

Unfortunately this year we’ll have to make the most of the situation and enjoy the event from the comfort of our homes through the special Facebook group which has been created and where we’ll be able to see images and videos as well as listen to music. The event will be promoted online using the hashtag #FIPFuengirolaEnCasa.

In previous editions, this same event managed to attract over 1 million visitors! This year we’ll have to see if we can top this figure through online participation! (more…)
