Summer Concerts on the Costa del Sol 2014Every summer we put together a list of the best live concerts on the Costa del Sol. We know that many of you enjoy attending live concerts whilst you are here on holiday and this guide will hopefully prove useful in identifying live performances you’d like to attend.

Last years line up of world famous artists visiting the Costa del Sol to perform their greatest hits was pretty impressive; however, this year looks to be even better. The following are just some of the big names performing during the months of July and August: Ricky Martin, The Beach Boys, Pet Shop Boys, Julio Iglesias, Chicago, Tom Jones, David Guetta… and the list goes on!

As was the case last summer, many of the top stars will be performing at the Starlite Festival, which takes place from the 23rd July to the 22nd August in Marbella’s breathtaking Nagueles quarry.

Another of the great venues this year is the Sohail Castle in Fuengirola which will see the likes of Chicago and Ian Anderson’s Jethro Tull pass through its gates.

The 8th Mijas International Blues Festival: From 4th to 6th of July

Mijas International Blues Festival 2014 Next month – from the 4th to the 6th of July – the stunning white village of Mijas will host the 8th edition of its popular International Blues Festival. An impressive line up of free concerts awaits blues fans with veteran artists such as Jimmy Thomas, Bob Margolin, John Primer, West Weston, Jerimiah Marques and Bob Stroger taking part in the weekend’s festivities.  (more…)

Arroyo de la Miel & Benalmadena Costa Celebrate 7th Annual Tapas Route

Ruta de la Tapa Arroyo de la Miel 2014Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmadena Costa are getting ready to celebrate the 7th edition of their annual Tapas Route (Ruta de la Tapa), a gastronomic event which helps promote the town’s culinary culture as well as its establishments. 

The route takes place from the 29th May to the 8th June and will have 40 participating bars and restaurants offering mouth-watering tapas for just 2.5€, drink included! (more…)

Big Celebrations for the 20th Anniversary of Fuengirola’s ‘Feria Internacional de los Pueblos’

Feria Internacionalde los Pueblos in FuengirolaThe ‘Feria Internacional de los Pueblos’ (International People’s Fair) in Fuengirola takes place from the 30th April to the 4th May (2014), making good use of the long May bank holiday weekend – or ‘Puente’, as it is known here. 

This colourful celebration has become one of the city’s main tourist attractions – and one of the most popular – with a million yearly visitors. As in previous years, 33 countries and regions from all over the world will take part in the festivities by showing off the best of their gastronomy, traditional products, music and folklore.  (more…)

Cacti Fair & Exhibition in Paloma Park: From 4th to 6th April

Cacti Fair in Paloma ParkHere in Benalmadena, we are fortunate to enjoy one of the most spectacular public parks in Andalucia: Paloma Park. Its’ total surface area of 100.000 square metres makes it the ideal spot to enjoy many outdoor activities and observe the diverse wildlife and flora. 

Within its grounds there is an area that houses one of best open-air collections of Cacti and other Succulent plants in all of Europe. This impressive 6000 square metre exhibit is open all year round for visitors to enjoy its stunning and varied collection. (more…)
