Our Moonlight Bar will once again host a great evening of the best Rock ‘n Roll on the 20th April 2013.
Organised by our friends at Active Sound Productions, this event includes a performance by Antony Wolfson, rated number 1 UK & Worldwide Rock & Roll Artist 2013 by premium independent global music website, ReverbNation.
This talented vocalist and entertainer has even been highly recommended by the friends and family of the great Elvis Presley!
Performing 50’s music with his own modern ‘twist’, Antony Wolfson’s music is inspired by what is now known as the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’: Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins.
You’ll be able to find all of Antony’s music on the major online retailers such as iTunes and Amazon – his first album actually has a 5 star rating on iTunes – and his first solo single actually made it to number 1 in the internet charts beating over 150,000 competitors for the coveted top spot over Christmas 2009.
As well as Antony Wolfson’s performance, you’ll also be able dance away to the rock ´n roll tunes of DJ Tall Mike (AKA Miguel Corchon). A veteran of the local Rock ´n Roll scene, Miguel has also been invited to get crowds bopping and jiving at some of the most important Rock ´n Roll festivals and events inEurope. (more…)

Have you got any plans for St.Patrick’s Day?
It’s a pretty big deal here with lots of special events and celebrations taking place up and down the Coast. Below we’ve included some of the more popular celebrations taking place:
#1 Sunset Beach Club’s St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
We’re an Irish owned hotel so our St. Patrick’s Day is an important event on our calendar. As there are lots of activities and events taking place during the day in the centre of town (see below), we’ve saved our celebrations for Sunday evening.
The fun starts at 6.30pm with Happy Hour where you’ll be able to get two pints of Guinness for the price of one and free smoked salmon canapés! (more…)

We’re now well into the half-term holidays and for the next two weeks (allowing for UK and Irish school holidays) we’ve got some great shows and entertainment in our Moonlight Bar; and they’re all free 🙂
The fun starts tonight with the – ever popular – tribute to the ‘The Lion King’; a great show for the whole family to enjoy. If you’re looking for something to keep the little ones amused, we highly recommend you see this show!
The show starts at 8:30pm but there’s also a mini disco at 7:30pm which is another favourite amongst the little ones. If you can’t make it tonight, there will be another showing next Tuesday 19th February at 8:30pm. (more…)

The fun and entertainment of Carnival is about to kick off here on the Costa del Sol.
Carnival season is popular in many of the towns and cities located up and down the coast but in this post, we’re going to focus on two cities: Benalmadena (for obvious reasons) and the amazing Málaga Carnival which is probably the most spectacular and colourful of all!
Although we refer to it as ‘Carnival Week’ it actually goes on for a little longer… 10 days. There are literally hundreds of activities and events taking place during these festivities; below, we’ve highlighted some of the most popular you’ll want to look out for in each of the cities. (more…)

Following the success of the 1st edition of ‘La Cazuela dela Abuela’ (Grandma’s Casserole) in Fuengirola last year, the town hall has decided to organise ‘Part 2’ of this successful gastronomic initiative.
Originally designed to help promote the town’s excellent selection of restaurants – and to help support the restaurant trade in the quieter off-season – this unique event also helps to introduce visitors to more traditional Spanish dishes and stews.
Due to the great success of last year’s event, Grandma’s Casserole has been extended from 10 days to 17 days (from 15th to 3rd March). Both locals and tourists will have more days to sample the delicious and traditional stews and casseroles which will be available in many of the town’s restaurants. A small casserole and a drink (glass of wine, beer or soft drink) will cost just €2 🙂 (more…)
