Fiesta de la Bicicleta Benalmadena 2022Next Sunday the 14th of April, Benalmadena will host the 39th edition of its popular ‘Fiesta de la Bicicleta’ or Bicycle Party, one of the city’s oldest and most emblematic events in its busy sports calendar. This year the event returns stronger than ever with a fun-packed morning of cycling for all who choose to participate. 

It’s not a race. The whole event is designed to be a fun family day out, fitting in perfectly with Benalmadena’s image as an idyllic destination for tourism and sports.

This unique tradition started almost 40 years ago to foment the use of bicycles as a healthy habit and an alternative form of transport. Many years later there’s still a lot of work to do in this aspect and the town hall remains committed to promoting the use of more eco-friendly and non-contaminating transport to help stop climate change. Calamorro Skyrace: The Skyrunner World Series Returns to Benalmadena

The Calamorro Skyrace will be the second event of the Merrell Skyrunner World Series and will take place on Saturday 6th April, 2024.

Securing the celebration of this prestigious event last year was a significant coup which has undoubtedly helped position Benalmadena on the national and international sports map thanks to the coverage on Spain’s Teledeporte sports channel and other global media.
