On the 24th February 2023, our neighbouring town of Fuengirola kicks off the 13th edition of the “Ruta de la Tapa Erótica” (Erotic Tapas Route), a fun and original idea which, since the first edition, has become a reference all over Spain.
It’s been a couple of years since Fuengirola last hosted this Tapas Route and we’re looking forward to enjoying some interesting and creative tapas over the next few weeks.
Up until the 13th March, visitors to Fuengirola will be able to enjoy this traditional Spanish snack, with a slightly “spicy” touch. All establishments that take part, will prepare a sensual and fun tapa, with creativity and flair being the main ingredients. Some of the participating establishments will also be offering special ‘gluten-free’, sweet or vegetarian tapas.
Anyone who visits one of the participating restaurants or bars will be able to sample one of these “erotic” tapas and a cool beer (or glass of wine) for a – very reasonable – €3.50. If you choose one of the sweet dessert tapas available in some establishments, you can choose to accompany it with a coffee, tea or sweet wine.
Benalmadena town hall has organised a fantastic programme of events for the whole family in the Marina this Christmas.
The fun begins tonight with the official ‘switching on’ of the Christmas Lights in the Christmas Village set up in the Marina for the whole festive period. The festive events conclude on the 5th January, when the 3 Kings arrive by boat before setting off on their parade through the streets of Benalmadena.
The Christmas Village will be located in the Marina’s Eastern parking area (next to the new Ferris Wheel) from 1st December 2022 to the 5th January 2023. It’ll be the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit with all the family and will include…
On the 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th November 2022, the Moonlight Bar at Sunset Beach Club will once again host Blues at Moonlight, an international music festival for fans of Rockabilly and music with true American roots.
Now in its 14th year, the event promises a fantastic line-up of international (and national) artists and groups. Having established itself as one of the most important festivals in this musical genre, Blues at Moonlight is definitely one to add to your calendar!
The daytime/afternoon activities (DJ’s and live music) will take place in our Oasis Restaurant.
Benalmadena Town Hall’s department for Environment, Parks and Gardens will organize the 15th edition of the Collector’s Plant Fair to be held on the weekend of April 15 to April 17 in the Parque de la Paloma.
This stunning park with more than 100,000 m2 of green areas is the ideal place to celebrate this new edition of the Plant Fair which returns after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. Paloma Park is home to an impressive collection of palm trees (with more than 90 species), Bamboo, Aquatic plants and one of the best and most spectacular open-air collections of Cacti and other Succulents in Europe (6000 m2 of surface area).
Halloween is almost here and we’ve got a fun-packed activities programme for all the families visiting us over this half-term holiday period.
From Saturday 23rd October to Saturday 30th November, our animation team will be offering a full daily entertainment programme with activities for children and adults.
From Wednesday 29th April to Sunday 53rd May 2020, Fuengirola celebrates one of the most important events in its calendar: The “Feria Internacional de los Pueblos” (International People’s Fair). However, this year, due to the State of Alarm imposed by the outbreak of Covid-19, the town hall have been forced to move the festivities online for a virtual event.
This unique fair has grown to become a reference at local, regional and even international level. For 5 days, the Fuengirola fairground would be home to a fun and multicultural event for all the family. Unfortunately this year we’ll have to make the most of the situation and enjoy the event from the comfort of our homes through the special Facebook group which has been created and where we’ll be able to see images and videos as well as listen to music. The event will be promoted online using the hashtag #FIPFuengirolaEnCasa.
In previous editions, this same event managed to attract over 1 million visitors! This year we’ll have to see if we can top this figure through online participation! (more…)
