At Sunset Beach Club we now offer guests the option of renting a 100% electric car through a Carsharing service.
Designed for hotel guests who prefer a more sustainable mobility option to travel, this new service will offer them the opportunity to visit the most emblematic sites of Malaga and Andalucia.
Through Activacar, providers of 100% electric mobility, we offer a new easy-to-use service. Our customers will always have an electric vehicle available in the interior car park of our hotel (3rd floor) to be able to move around the coast in a sustainable way.
The vehicle in our car park (see photo) will always be operational as it will be recharged during the night in the electric charging stations that we’ve also installed in the interior car park.
One of the main advantages of renting this vehicle is that you won’t have to fill up with petrol and thus avoid having to pay the present exorbitant prices.
Another advantage offered by Activacar is that you can access their ‘Green Auto Tour’ App where you’ll find fantastic travel guides that will help you discover magical locations within the province of Malaga and other Andalusian towns and cities.
These guides contain useful information allowing you to live unique experiences and include:
- Information on nearest charging stations
- Recommended restaurants
- Top local attractions (with directions)
Renting an electric vehicle through Activacar is very easy and you’ll avoid many of the complicated protocols that you can find with many traditional car hire companies. You’ll only have to fill out a simple form, download the application and validate your driver profile.
The Carsharing offered by Activacar from its application is called ‘Round-trip’, this means that the user who makes use of the service must leave the vehicle in the same place where he picked it up. In our case, the underground parking of our hotel. Please bear in mind that this is not available to everyone. You must be a client of our hotel.
How to access the Activacar application?
- Subscribe to Activacar: First, you have to fill out the registration form to subscribe. You can access the form by scanning the QR codes that you’ll find in the Activacar advertising leaflets which are located around the hotel.
- Download and install the Activacar app: You’ll receive an email with instructions to download the app.
- Create your driver profile in the app. You’ll have to enter your personal data and accept the Activacar privacy policy and the conditions and terms of service.
- Now you’ll have to upload your ID and driving license to the application. You can do this by scanning or by manually uploading document data.
- When your data and documents have been validated, you can access and make a reservation.
- Before starting your reservation you will have to check the cleanliness and any damage to the vehicle. If the vehicle is dirty or damaged, you can communicate this through the application.
- You are now ready to go out and explore the area in your 100% electric vehicle. The locking and unlocking of the doors is done with the application.
- To finalize the reservation, you just have to click on the ‘finish reservation’ button after performing the following checks:
- You will again perform a check for cleanliness and any possible damage to the vehicle.
- Check that you have all your personal belongings.
- Make sure it’s properly parked in the designated area and plug it into the charger.
