With more and more electric vehicles on the road and a distinct lack of charging stations, we’ve decided to install our very own in the hotel’s underground garage (we’ll be installing them in the outside parking too).

Guests with electric vehicles will now be able to easily charge them at one of the ‘Activacharge’ stations in our garage. Easy overnight charging means their cars will be fully topped up in the morning so they can explore the Costa del Sol without worrying about having to find somewhere to charge their vehicle.

At Sunset Beach Club we now offer guests the option of renting a 100% electric car through a Carsharing service.

Designed for hotel guests who prefer a more sustainable mobility option to travel, this new service will offer them the opportunity to visit the most emblematic sites of Malaga and Andalucia.

Through Activacar, providers of 100% electric mobility, we offer a new easy-to-use service. Our customers will always have an electric vehicle available in the interior car park of our hotel (3rd floor) to be able to move around the coast in a sustainable way.

Prison Island: Benalmadena’s Most Popular Adventure Attraction is back!

After being closed for the last 2 years due to the pandemic, this fun attraction is once again open to the public! And  they’ve updated many of the cells and games to create new challenges 🙂

Located in Benalmadena Marina’s main shopping centre, this fun attraction promises hours of fun and adventure for all the family (from 9 to 99 years of age!). Based on hit TV show ‘Fort Boyard’ the Prison Island experience requires participants to work in teams to solve tricky challenges and tasks in a series of ‘cells’ in order to collect the maximum number of points. These challenges require a series of skills including physical, mental and tactical.

Laser Island in BenalmadenaOur friends from Prison Island, the adventure park and ‘escape room’ in the Marina, have recently re-opened Laser Island, a Laser Tag theme park based on a galactic battle which is ideal for all age groups. The park has been closed for the past two years due to the pandemic, but we’re delighted to report that they are open again!

Equipped with latest-generation vests and laser guns, you’ll be able to choose from a selection of different game options: In teams, everyone against everyone, trying to obtain the maximum number of possible points or capturing the opposing team’s flags.

The guys at Laser Island highlight the importance of teamwork. Don’t let yourself get trapped, hide well, chase your opponents and most importantly… Don’t shoot your own teammates! (more…)

Málaga Clásica: Celebrating 10 Years of Chamber Music with ‘Crescendo’

Málaga Clásica, the international chamber music festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary! From June 6 to 12 you can enjoy a special program called ‘Crescendo’ that, after an opening gala featuring works by Beethoven and Dvorak, will have seven concerts with formations that will increase progressively, from one instrument to ten. There will also be three other concerts by young talents.

The first six performances will be at the Echegaray Theatre and you’ll be able to enjoy the works of composers such as Beethoven, Bach, Schumann or Dvorak. The final touch… the decet by DuBois.

The 15th edition of the Collector’s Plant Fair in Benalmádena

Benalmadena Town Hall’s department for Environment, Parks and Gardens will organize the 15th edition of the Collector’s Plant Fair to be held on the weekend of April 15 to April 17 in the Parque de la Paloma.

This stunning park with more than 100,000 m2 of green areas is the ideal place to celebrate this new edition of the Plant Fair which returns after a two-year absence due to the pandemic. Paloma Park is home to an impressive collection of palm trees (with more than 90 species), Bamboo, Aquatic plants and one of the best and most spectacular open-air collections of Cacti and other Succulents in Europe (6000 m2 of surface area).

#1: Visit the Marina

 Jump on the bus (nº110 or 120) or grab a taxi (Both stop just outside the hotel) and head down to the Marina.
