The Rockin’ Race Jamboree: A 50’s Music Festival in Torremolinos

Thursday 7th February 2019 sees the start of another edition of the Rockin’ Race Jamboree music festival in Torremolinos. This is the event’s 25th anniversary and will attract thousands of visitors from all over the world eager to enjoy a fun packed long weekend (7th, 8th, 9th & 10th February) to the sounds of their favourite musical genre: music with American roots from the 50’s.

This year’s festival features  some of the world’s top artists exclusively for the event! There are approximately 28 artists and bands playing during the 4-day event, including:

Crocodile Park: Home to ‘Paco’ the 600 Kg Monster Croc!

Crocodile Park in TorremolinosOne of the most popular places to visit in the Benalmadena/Torremolinos area is the Crocodile Park. If you’ve got kids and are looking for a fun day out, you’ll definitely want to add this one to your to-do list!

Located next to the popular water park in Torremolinos, the Crocodile Park is home to more than 200 crocodiles, including ‘Paco’(also known as Big Daddy), a 600 kg monster croc!

The visit to the park lasts approximately 2 hours and includes guided tours and live demonstrations. Watching ‘Paco’ at feeding time must be quite a spectacle 🙂 The Park’s experienced guides show you how they handle these fascinating creatures and explain the intricate details of the croc’s lifestyle. Jellyfish stings - How to treat themThe dreaded “J” word! Although our beaches here on the Costa del Sol are generally safe for swimming, we sometimes receive visits from unwelcome visitors: Jellyfish.

Under certain conditions, usually after heavy easterly winds and when the sea temperature is warmer than average, these slippery creatures head towards the shoreline and cause havoc amongst swimmers. They aren’t particularly dangerous; however, their sting can be painful and causes discomfort for their unfortunate victim.  They are usually difficult to spot in the water and bathers get stung by coming into contact with the jellyfish’s tentacles. Benalmadena celebrates the first edition of its Craft Beer Festival

From the 27th to the 29th July, from 7:00 pm to 01:00 am, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide variety of craft beers, exquisite gastronomy and live music.
