The British version of the site Kayak.co.uk recently analysed data from more than a billion – yes, one billion! – searches on their site and revealed some interesting results about the best time for brits (although we’re sure it’ll work for our Irish guests too) to book travel to the top 10 European destinations per season for 2016.

You’ll find all their results revealed on the detailed infographics we’ve linked to at the bottom of this post. However, we’re – obviously – only interested in the results for travellers flying to Málaga, which, incidentally, is just 20 minutes’ drive from Sunset Beach Club 🙂 (more…)

Visit Sohail Castle in Fuengirola: Entrance is Now Free!

The grounds of Sohail Castle in FuengirolaFuengirola’s councillor in charge of Culture recently announced that access and visits to the city’s impressive Sohail Castle will now be free for all visitors – it used to cost 3€ for adults and 2€ for children!

Opening times are between 10:00am and 2:00pm daily from Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), plenty of time for visitors to walk around this iconic building with centuries of history behind it (see below). (more…)

From the 21st to 24th January, Cirque du Soleil, arguably the best circus experience on the planet will visit Malaga with their touring production titled Varekai. This stunning show first premiered in Montréal (Canada) in April 2002 and has since travelled all over the world delighting spectators wherever they perform.

The word ‘Varekai’ actually means ‘Anywhere’ in the Romani language, the language of the eternal nomads. The show is an “acrobatic tribute to the nomadic soul” and the art of the circus tradition. (more…)

This year is no exception with the town hall spending a whopping 573,201 Euros on the lights! This might seem like a lot but when you see the amount of people who show up at 6:30pm every day to watch the lights be switched on, you begin to understand why.
