There was a full house at the Moonlight Theatre last Sunday evening for the amazing Tango Show.
Highly respected violinist and conductor Walter O Tejada Carranza and his company, Arcos de Buenos Aires – with its string chamber orchestra and Tango Ballet – put on a magnificent show which brought and endless string of cheers and applause from the audience… and a standing ovation at the end!
During the successful event, we managed to take various photos and video clips which we have attached below… enjoy 🙂

Last week, I spent a pleasant afternoon chatting to Michael and Breda Quinn, loyal guests who have been coming to Sunset Beach Club for over 20 years! Our hotel becomes their home at least 3 times a year (March, June & October) when they grab the Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Málaga and head to Sunset to enjoy a relaxing sunny break at their favourite hotel.
I like to meet guests and hear about their experiences at our hotel; it’s these conversations that provide extremely valuable feedback that helps us in our efforts to continually improve our customer experience.
After spending a few minutes enjoying the jaw-dropping views from their apartment (see photo below) I asked Michael and Breda a simple question:
“What do you like most about Sunset Beach Club?”
In summarised bullet form, here’s what they answered (not necessarily in order of importance):
The location of the hotel is second to none – practically over-looking the sea, with beaches on either side, it’s absolutely perfect!
The apartments are a nice size and are always spotless.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, they always go out of their way to help, nothing is too much. We always feel at home when we come.
The security; we like to feel safe when we travel abroad. The security within the hotel is fantastic and the surrounding areas also make us feel at ease.
We don’t have to leave the hotel if we don’t want to; the excellent facilities provide us with all we need such as a supermarket, restaurants and entertainment.
Breathtaking views from the apartment...
I’d like to thank Michael and Breda for taking the time to talk to me and look forward to welcoming them back to Sunset Beach Club again in March!

Our Moonlight Theatre is the chosen venue for a special evening of entertainment on Sunday 13th November: A fantastic Argentine Tango and Folk show.
This unique evening of traditional Argentinian tango and folk music is performed by the Arcos de Buenos Aires Company, made up of a string chamber orchestra and a spectacular tango ballet.
The company is conducted by the prestigious violinist and conductor, Walter O Tejada Carranza and will be introducing their new show “La Porteña”, a fascinating combination of music and dance with 17 artists performing traditional Argentinian tango and folk music.
Arcos de Buenos Aires have performed in many of the most important international festivals and stages throughout Europe, including: Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Bosforous International Music Festival (Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall in Istambul, Oldengurg International Festival, and the 2nd International Music Festival “Inessa Galant” in Jurmala, Latvia.
The show starts at 7:00pm on the evening of the 13th November; tickets (a bargain at €10 per person) can be bought at the Sunset Beach Club leisure desk or at the entrance of the Moonlight on the evening of the show.
As from Monday the 31st October 2011, we’ll be introducing an entertaining and educational activity for all our guests: Wine Tasting!
These wine tasting events will take place twice a week, on Monday and Thursday with four sessions on each of these days: At 5:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm and 8:00pm. Richard Davies from MyWineWaiter.com will be hosting the event.
You’ll be able to sample a wide selection of Spanish Wines with Monday afternoons dedicated to white wines and Thursday afternoon’s to amazing red wines.

A few weeks ago, I asked our Facebook fans to describe Sunset Beach Club in one word… the response was unbelievable!
I was expecting a couple of fans to answer but was pleasantly surprised when I logged in to our Facebook account the following morning to find that 79 people had submitted the one word which they felt best described our hotel.
Instead of just listing all 79 words, I thought it would be fun to create a Word Cloud; a more visually pleasing way to read the wonderful words our guests and fans used to describe Sunset Beach Club.
Hope you like it!
This is what our guests think of Sunset Beach Club...
