Benalmádena is a fantastic holiday destination for all types of traveller, especially families with children.

Here’s the list of 11 tourist attractions you should visit next time you’re in Benalmadena:
1) Paloma Park : One of the largest and most beautiful parks on the Costa del Sol with 200.000 square metres of green area, pathways, a large lake and lots of animals! Located right in the centre of town, Paloma Park was recently included in Tripadvisor’s list of 25 best parks in Europe!
2) Selwo Marina: Dolphins, sea lions, penguins and lots more await at the Costa del Sol’s only Dolphinarium… A great day out for the family with lots of fantastic shows throughout the day.
3) Sea Life Aquarium: Home to over 2000 creatures, the aquarium experience includes feeding demonstrations (Sharks too!), a walk through the underwater tunnel, the new rockpool experience where you can hold a crab or touch a starfish and 36 displays featuring giant turtles, sharks, rays and lots more amazing sea life!
4) Benalmadena Marina: Two times winner of the ‘Best Marina in the World’, Benalmadena Marina has a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and nightlife which make it one of the city’s most popular attractions.
5) Aqualand Torremolinos: The largest water park on the Costa del Sol, it’s a must visit for families with kids! Lots of fun slides including the ‘dreaded’ Kamikazee!
6) Buddhist Temple: Known as the ‘Estupa’, this is the largest Buddhist temple in the western world. Entrance is free and the views are absolutely breathtaking.
7) Butterfly Park: Europe’s largest Butterfly Exhibition with 150 different species and more than 1500 butterflies flying around the 2000 square metre installation.
8) Tivoli World: One of Benalmadena’s oldest attractions, this amusement park offers a great selection of fun rides for all the family. There are plenty of bars and restaurants as well as entertaining shows every evening. If you have kids, you have to visit 🙂
9) Bioparc Zoo in Fuengirola: You’ll find an impressive collection of animals and reptiles at this small but very well designed zoo. Don’t miss the Silver Back gorrillas, the tigers or the Komodo dragons!
10) Cable car ride to the top of Monte Calamorro: A 15 minute ride to the top of Benalmádena’s highest point offers spectacular views of the whole Coast. Once you get to the top, you can enjoy an impressive birds of pray exhibition or just relax at the cafeteria.
11) Colomares Castle: Built as a tribute to Christopher Columbus, this unique monument is one of the most interesting attractions Benalmádena has to offer. Each of the 3 ships which set sail to discover America is represented in the construction if this stunning building.
