We’re not surprised at the fact that beer is one of the most popular and consumed drinks in the world, but the following figures did amaze us… Apparently 177 billion litres of beer are consumed every year and more than 5.600 litres every second! That’s a lot of beer 🙂
Beer lovers rejoice! From the 17th to 19th June you’ll be able to enjoy your favourite drink at a new event which will be held at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Torremolinos: The Beerfest Costa del Sol, 1st International Beer Fair.
This new event will allow visitors to dive into the fascinating world of craft beers. This type of beer is going through one of its most buoyant periods in terms of production – and consumption – making it a great alternative to the more traditional industrial brands we’re accustomed to seeing in bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The Beerfest is the perfect opportunity for you to discover the different styles, varieties, fermentation methods and products which master beer makers are launching to market.
This new fair is definitely the place to go and sample a wide variety of craft beers. More than 120 types of beer – produced by almost 40 national and international beer manufacturers – make up the impressive catalogue of exhibitors at this first edition of the Beerfest.
As well as the beer exhibit area, the fair will also offer visitors multiple beer tasting activities, gastronomic tastings, live music and workshops for kids so that even the youngest members of the family can enjoy a day out at this fun event. And as we’ll be in the initial stages of the Euro 2016 championships, the organisers have set up a giant TV screen to show live games! Beer and football… who could ask for more 😉
Popular beer styles such as Pale Ale, Weissbier, California Common, Kristall-Weizen, Faro o la Gueuze and many others will be the big stars of this 1st Costa del Sol Beerfest in Torremolinos.

Friday 17th June: 5:00pm to 11:00pm
Saturday 18th June: 1:00pm to 11:00pm
Sunday 19th June: 1:00pm to 8:00pm
There’s a small charge of €4 per person to access the fair (Hospitality professionals who wish to attend can ask for accreditation). The price includes three craft beer tastings and a Beerfest souvenir glass.
