Costa del Jive is a week-long event for fans of modern jive.

The first edition  took place in March of this year and was a resounding success. So much so, that the organisers have arranged the second edition which will take place from the 9^th to the 16^th November here at Sunset Beach Club.

With a jam packed events programme full of fun activities throughout the week, we’re sure participants will have a whale of a time. Here’s a quick look at what’s in store for them:

• Daily dance classes in the Sala Málaga for anyone interested in learning modern jive. Hotel guests – who are not part of the Costa del Jive group – are also welcome to join in; it’s just 5€ per person and lesson! There are lessons for all levels including beginner, intermediate and advanced.
• Every lunch time from 2:30pm to 4:00pm there’s dancing by the pool with a special dance and ‘flash mob’ class.
• Freestyle dancing every evening in the Moonlight Bar from 9:30pm to 1:00am. Everyone is welcome and the entrance fee is 10€ (Free for Costa del Jive members).

One of the highlights of the March edition of Costa del Jive was the Flash Mob the group performed down in the Benalmádena Marina… 100 plus people dancing to a – previously choreographed – set of jive dance moves!

The Flash Mob was a big hit, so much so, that they will be repeating the feat on Wednesday 12^th November. We didn’t manage to get it on camera in March but we’ll be ready this time! 🙂
