Our neighbours in Torremolinos will be celebrating the second edition of their ‘Oktoberfest’ beer festival from Thursday 20th October to Sunday 23rd October.
The event will be held in a large thousand square metre marquee located in ‘Plaza de la Nogalera’ and will be open to the public from 12pm til late every day. Visitors will be able to sample some of the World’s best beers as this year’s festival will have a special bar serving beers from all over the world including those made from wheat and barley, black beers and other select flavours. Another highlight this year will be the ‘Jägermeister’ tap serving shots of the famous herbal liqueur at -10ºC!
For those who aren’t so keen on beer, a visit to the new International drinks and cocktails stand might cheer you up. You’ll find all sorts of exotic and refreshing drinks to try at very reasonable prices.
With all the drinks you’ll be sampling, there’s a good chance you’re going to get hungry at some point… At the Torremolinos Oktoberfest you’ll be able to try typical German dishes at some of the dedicated stands serving traditional cheeses, Pretzels, red and white sausages, roasted pigs knuckles, sauerkraut, potato salad, frikadelle and more! So, how much to they cost? All dishes are priced from €4 to €10 🙂
No festival is complete without a little music and at this year’s Oktoberfest you’ll be able to listen to typical Bavarian music and well as a selection of Spanish tunes. There will also be activities for kids in the special Children’s area set up for the festival. One of the star activities will be baking delicious ginger bread biscuits which are so typical during the cold German winters.
If you’re staying with us at Sunset Beach Club hotel, getting to Torremolinos couldn’t be easier. Just jump on the M110 bus which stops just outside the hotel and it’ll take you straight to Torremolinos town centre.
