From Saturday, 30th November until 15th February, you can enjoy a unique experience in Málaga, the Lantern Festival.
Inspired by the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival, which marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Lantern Festival is a cultural and artistic event featuring more than 600 large handmade lanterns illuminated by over 4000 lights.
Visitors can enjoy a series of traditional Chinese activities such as lantern-making workshops, calligraphy, and banners, as well as a wishing wall.
The main stage of the Festival will offer circus performances by artists from the Chinese city of Zigong: hand juggling, jar balancing, plate spinning, face-changing shows, and more. The festival will also feature theater, music, and traditional dance performances, and of course, a grand Chinese New Year parade with the traditional dragon dance.
All the lanterns at the Festival are handmade by artisans using materials brought in from China specifically for the event. These colorful works of art are made from materials such as metal, silk, paint, and energy-efficient LED lights.
Something to keep in mind: This upcoming 2025 will celebrate the Year of the Snake, a sign that is said to bring wealth, wisdom, prudence, and longevity.

Sessions: 6:00 PM, 7:15 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:45 PM.
Take advantage of the special launch price, €14 per person (until November 21st). After that, access will cost between €15 and €20 depending on the day and the number of visitors.
A 10% discount will be applied to disabled individuals, large families, people over 65, and residents or those born in Málaga. Children aged 0 to 3 enter for free.
If you want to visit with a group of more than 20 people, you can also enjoy a special rate.
