The San Juan Fair in Arroyo de la Miel is back again this year with a full programme of events which kicks of this Sunday 23rd June!
This year we’ll be able to enjoy the amazing firework display on San Juan night (23rd June) as well as the traditional bonfires all along the beaches. The popular ‘Casetas’ are back in the main fairground every night as are all the fairground attractions and live music concerts. The day fair will also provide hours of entertainment with live music and dancing featuring local artists.
The Town Hall is also encouraging locals to take part in the traditional ‘Júas’ (figures made from paper and old cloths) contest on the night of San Juan. We certainly encourage you to take a walk through the streets of Arroyo to see their stunning entries which will be exhibited for all to view. You’ll see some stunning examples of creativity as participants battle to win the main prize. These figures are later burned on the streets adding another stunning spectacle to an already impressive Feria lineup.
Here are a few highlights of the week’s entertainment calendar which we think you’ll enjoy…
