In a raised position a few kilometres from the coast, fabulous panoramic views of the Mediterranean can be enjoyed from the original “Benalmádena Village”. It’s ideal for a half day visit, where you can enjoy not only stunning views, but also sample delicious tapas and local delicacies in the village restaurants and bars.  If you carry on a little further, you can take the back road to Mijas Village, to make a full day trip.

Arroyo de la Miel offers Spanish shops, bars and restaurants as well as everything else you would expect from a charming and typical town centre, including a frequent bus service and a very handy train station. Arroyo de la Miel is also home to Benalmadena’s amusement park, Tivoli World.

Benalmadena is now home to the largest Buddhist temple in the Western World! This unique structure can be seen from various points across the coast. If you want to have a look inside, the “Stupa” is open to visitors Tuesday to Friday. Don't forget your camera as the views down to the Coast are spectacular!

The beautiful Bil-Bil castle is right on the beach close to the centre of Benalmadena and a couple of minutes walk along the promenade from Sunset Beach Club. It’s a beautiful building to see during the day or at night.

Butterfly Park Benalmadena

Feel the experience of more than 1,500 butterflies from all over the world flying free around you in a tropical environment. The Butterfly Park Benalmádena is over 2,000 m2 and the largest climate controlled space dedicated to butterflies, in Europe.

The building was built in the traditional Thai style to give the building authenticity with many of the building materials and decorative elements brought directly from Thailand.
